Materials
Materials
Every sail is made of sailcloth material designed to support unevenly distributed wind loads. Some parts of the sail are reinforced more than others, especially the corner areas like clews, tacks, and heads. So, every product made out of a sail has a unique texture and fiber pattern, depending on which part of the sail was cut out. Also, the hue of colors may vary similarly due to the same characteristics.
Exterior:
Aramid fibers, and carbon fibers polyester composite.
Natural leather edging.
Polyester UV resistance thread.
Interior:
Woven sailcloth, synthetic polyester fabrics, 100% PET.
Lightweight spinnaker sailcloth, 100% non-stretch nylon.
High-quality, Japanese-designed nylon zipper.
Mettal zipper puller.
Sail sewing, super strong, polyester UV resistance thread.
Product care
Product care
To clean the sail part of the product, we recommend using
a damp sponge, perhaps with water and neutral soap. Do not use water or soap directly on the product. Gently rub the fabric and then rinse with a clean, damp sponge, after that pat dry with a cotton cloth. To
maximize the life of the product, leave the fabric to dry avoiding direct contact with heat sources or sunlight. To avoid streaks or discoloration, do not use chemical products or solvents of any kind. Do not
iron. Do not dry clean. Do not tumble dry.
Some parts are made of leather. Cleaning with solvents or chemicals is not recommended for all leather parts. Homemade leather darkening agents such
as mink oil, saddle soap, leather lotion, or any other substance should be avoided. These chemicals can compromise the quality and integrity of the leather piece as it wears over time. To keep the original properties of the leather unchanged over time, you could try to use only specific liquid products based on neutral waxes that do not contain solvents, benzene, or
alcohol to clean it. Use a small amount of product on a soft cloth, never directly on the leather, and apply gently to the area with small circular movements. If the leather comes into contact with water, clean it immediately with a slightly absorbent, lint-free cloth. We also advise you
to avoid products such as oils, makeup, perfumes, creams, or disinfectants to apply to the leather as they could damage its natural beauty.
It must also be said that the white or light parts of leather tend to get dirty faster than the dark ones.
