Discarded racing sails and sailcloth offcuts pose a significant environmental burden. Sails are made from high-tech sailcloth, manufactured from carbon or aramid fibers and various polyester resins. Racing sails and sailcloths are composite products designed to resist high loads with minimal weight and stretch.
Their exceptional properties make them ideal for unsustainable repurposing. Bulb creates products that will serve you for a long and pleasant time.

MAXI JENA

These products are crafted from the front sail of the legendary Slovenian racing sailboat Maxi Jena under
the leadership of its helmsman and conceptual leader Mitja Kosmina.

We thank Mitja for his willingness and support of the Bulb project, offering each product user
a part of epic history.

Maxi Jena is a 24-meter racing yacht, which, when launched in January 2002, was the most
technologically demanding and impressive Slovenian sports sailboat. Since then, Maxi Jena has promoted the strength and talent of Slovenian sailors, engineers, and businessmen. In its sailing journey through the Adriatic and Mediterranean seas, it has achieved numerous memorable victories, including the famous Barcolana race in front of Trieste.

The "MAXI JENA" collection is crafted from sailcloth with carbon fiber composite of
the front sail - genoa.

THE OFFCUTS

The Bulb team is here for you to introduce the unique collection - The Offcuts.

These products are made from sailcloth scraps generated during the sailmaking process. These products are not made from sails but still reflect the eco-consciousness of a product designed, produced, used, and disposed of in a way that minimizes negative impacts on the environment, society, and the economy.

By repurposing these materials, we contribute to waste reduction and environmental impact
reduction.

Each product is precisely cut and handcrafted to make the best use of recycled material available to us.

SLO - 160

This collection is the legacy of the 40ft Super Stag racer celebrating her 25th birthday in 2018. She’s one of the best performance racing boats in the Adriatic Sea, claiming podiums in many
Slovenian, Croatian, and Italian races. Her biggest success was in 2013 at the Barcolana race with a class win and fourth place overall, proudly leaving many great sailing names behind.  The legacy of the "SLO-160" collection is made from laminate-carbon mainsail. Since there are no two pieces
of sailcloth alike, all our wallets are unique. Wearing our products we're making this world a better place.

G-SPOT

This 32-feet monotype performance sailboat
is registered as MON-181. It is known as
G-Spot, helmed by a proud owner and excellent
helmsman. G-Spot was frequently placed
among the best three boats in class
in the world. Thanks to the G-Spot team, and a Slovenian tactician
Branko Brčin who donated the jib, you can have an
exciting story to tell about this collection.

Legacy of "G-SPOT" is a collection made from laminated carbon and aramid fibers.
This sailcloth product was crafted by hand
and designed with caring attention.
